Zavedati se moramo, da so te številke takšne kljub preventivnim ukrepom, med epidemijo gripe jih ni bilo. Tu se vidi razlika, da je koronavirus precej bolj nalezljiv in da v večjem deležu povzroča težjo bolezen, ki terja zdravljenje v bolnišnici ali celo v enoti intenzivne nege.
