#IsolationDiaries Tom and Marnie Malpass on surviving COVID-19
Tom and Marnie Malpass are self-quarantined in their home due to COVID-19. After weeks of being turned away from testing due to CDC limits, on March 7th Marnie tested positive for COVID-19. The next day, Tom’s test came back positive as well. The couple became cases number 1 and 2 in Kitsap County.

Air cabin aerodynamics and the spread of COVID-19
A simple cough can project droplets into the air ranging in size. Gravity will force large droplets to the ground, but smaller droplets could stay suspended in the air for a long time. In a closed air cabin, this could increase the risk of infection for other passengers if one person is infected with the coronavirus.
Qingyan Chen and his team from Purdue University have come up with a new ventilation system for airplanes that could reduce this risk.
