On March 23, 2020, the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine became one of the first COVID-19 testing sites in the Southwestern U.S. Hundreds of vehicles drove through the drive-thru test site, hosted in partnership with the New Mexico Department of Health. Those who test positive for COVID-19 will be contacted by the health department.
